In July 2023, 403 field hospital of 26 punjab battalion linked from 26 madras positioned in siachen glacier was under Capt Anshuman singh. At 3 am on 19th july, ammunition stockpile got fired and thankfully Anshuman heard the call of fire and moved quickly to resume soldiers. There are many soldiers trapped and Anshuman don’t think twice for his life and he jumps in to save soldiers. He handled the situation very fastly and actively and compromised his life for the nation’s protectors at the age of 26 years.
Controversy at Anshuman’s Family
Anshuman singh’s parents claimed that smriti, their daughter in law, left them and went to Gurdaspur. Also the family said that smriti did not give the kriti chakra to at least see. As the Indian army’s next of kin format, the wife is NOK. but according to Anshuman’s parents they should be the NOK. the NOC policy became controversial and a serious concern.
Early Life & Education
Captain Anshuman Singh was born in Bardiha Dalpat Village of Deoria district, UP. His father was an army veteran subedar Ravi Pratap Singh and mother manju Singh and have 2 siblings. For education he went to Rashtriya Military School Chail, Himachal Pradesh. He applied for AFMC pune for graduation in medicine and later on he got selected. After completing graduation he started his journey of service by becoming part of the Indian army. He began his career as an army medical corps officer.
Personal Life
Anshuman singh got married at the age of 26 on 10 February 2023 to a lady engineer, Smriti Singh. Their marriage was love marriage as they both met at engineering college, smriti fell in love at first sight. But after some time Anshuman got selected for AFMC and dropped engineering. After some months of their sweet marriage they got separated for all life. Smriti waited for her love of life for eight years to marry Anshuman.

For Anshuman’s bravery he got a prestigious award named Kirti Chakra. On 05 july 2024 Honorable president Murmu Anshuman singh with the kirti chakra award. On Anshuman’s behalf his mother and wife received the award. CM of UP lao give Rs. 50 lakhs support to the family for their loss and in Lucknow, Municipal corporation installed Anshuma’s statute.
